Day 1 Walking from Perugia to Assisi
stroll Perugia undisclosed quarters and explore charming Assisi Home-town of Saint Francis, peacefully set on the slopes of the Subasio Mountain, famous all over the Christian world.

Day 4 & 6 Walking from Spoleto to Orvieto
Walk to Spoleto, roman colony since 241 B.C., occupied and ruled by the Goths and the Longobards. Delight your sense with Orvieto' white wine and black truffle cooking some typical recipes from the local tradition with our chef Francesco.

Day 6 & 7 Walking from Montefalco, to Bevagna and Giano dell'Umbria
Try your luck on a truffle hunt and taste some of the finest Sagrantino wine walking from Montefalco to Bevagna, and explore the magic of Castel Rinaldi, Giano dell'Umbria and Gualdo Cattaneo with our knowledgeable guides...

How to travel to Umbria

  • Perugia "San Francesco d'Assisi" (airport.umbria.it) often know by its former name of Sant'Egidio, midway between Perugia (12km) and Assisi, is The Aeroporto Internazionale dell’Umbria regional airport. The next nearest airport is Florence's Amerigo Vespucci, or Peretola (aeroporto.firenze.it) is similarly small, but is convenient for Perugia and the rest of northern Umbria, Flights to Rome also require a similar 2 hour plus journey time by train or car to southern Umbria.
  • Direct trains are available from Pisa Aeroporto train station to Florence every two hours (journey approx 57 mins), along with more frequent connections that require a change at Pisa Centrale. Try also the frequent connections from Florence to Perugia, usually with a change at Terontola.
