Di-wine Paths is our way of enjoying and sharing our love for this region, its wine and culture with you. This wine tour of Puglia is a truly unique way of experiencing and discovering the Apulian wine tradition by bike, cycling slowly among vineyards and wineries, smelling the grapes, touching the ground and sipping its nectar.

On this bike trip you will tour the region cycling or walking along rural roads and olive groves, charming old villages and stone walls, sleeping in luxury Masserie (old apulian farm house) and tasting the best food and wine that Puglia can offer. You will meet winemakers and professional sommeliers that will follow you in this extraordinary discovery.

No need to be a expert, this wine holiday is recommanded to winemakers, novice and wine lovers of any ages, passionate about wine culture and tradition, from chefs to teachers, housewives and businessmen all with a great enthusiasm for unique experiences.

All wine & cycling tours can be tailor made . You can choose to walk to the wineyards or to be chauffeured around, experience typical small local trains for some of the transfers, with optional short cycling rides to reach the selected vineyards and wineries.

Day 1, 2 & 3 | Itria Valley
After a briefing with our area manager you'll start your adventure holiday with a short cycling excursion just to warm up and get familiar with the Apulian countriside. The following morning you'll be cycling to Alberobello the UNESCO World Heritage site enjoying a visit to the first vinery of this wine tour. On day 3 a ride to Ostuni "the White town" cycling through the Itria Valley and its famous trulli scattered along the way will take you to your next hotel.

Day 4 & 5 | Lecce and the surroundings
The area where the best primitivo wine is produced will be your next destination. Here you'll be tasting the famous wine, before heading to Lecce either by bike or by train. In Lecce once checked in at your Hotel a relaxing walk through the old town center of Lecce will genlty take you to a local trattoria for a diserved delicious dinner.

Day 6 & 7 | Otranto - Santa Maria di Leuca
today after a short transfer by local train and a visit to some small villages, you'll be cycling toward Otranto and the Adriatic coast to explore the eastern part of the peninsula, visiting Otranto with its Cattedral and the marvellous flor mosaic. The following morning after a breathtaking ride along the coast you will finish the tour with a visit to one of the oldest vinery of the region for an unforgettable guided wine tasting tour.

Apulian wine quality classification:
at the lower end there is the table wine "Vino da tavola", followed by the IGT "Indicazione Geografica Tipica". At the third level we have the DOC Denominazione d'Origine Controllata , while the highest quality level is reserved to the DOCG Denominazione d'Origine Controllata e Garantita wines. In Pulgia no DOCG areas are present, but the region feauture about 25 areas of DOC Denominazione d'Origine Controllata such as: Aleatico di Puglia, Alezio, Brindisi, Cacc'e Mmitte di Lucera, Castel del Monte, Copertino, Galatina, Gioia del Colle, Gravina, Leverano, Lizzano, Locorotondo, Martina o Martina Franca, Matino, Moscato di Trani, Nardò, Orta Nova, Ostuni, Primitivo di Manduria, Rosso Barletta, Rosso di Canosa, Rosso di Cerignola, Salice Salentino, San Severo e Squinzano.
